Swift Darning Loom

Your kit arrives plastic-free, swaddled in fabric and tucked inside of our custom-stitched brown paper mailer. Inside you'll find:

• Swift Darning Loom base with 14 hooks
• Standard work surface, 3" x 4.5" (7.5 x 11.25 cm)
• T-shirt yarn "stretchy tie", our durable upcycled substitute for a rubber band
• Set of specialty needles, 40-100mm long to move easily across all 14 hooks
• 36-page instruction zine booklet

What's old is new again! We seek out broken hardwood furniture to carve small batches of these precious looms. The wood is sanded to a fine finish and left bare, so that it will develop a beautiful patina with age and use.

Each of the work surfaces is unique in character, and in many cases the original finish is left intact as a hat-tip to the previous life that the wood has already enjoyed.

A woven patch can repair or embellish all manner of things! Use this loom to darn your socks, sweaters, blankets, scarves, decorate your hoodies, jeans, hats, cuffs... As long as you can place the work surface behind with the loom on top, it's good to go.
