flyer. Worth Mending presents: a Really Really Free Market. June 26 2022, outdoors rain or shine 11 am until 3 pm. 12 Fairview Avenue, Kitchener. More details below or at worthmending.com

Event details:

It’s a “clothing swap” but it’s also a Really Really Free Market -- so there are no rules on the number of items someone has to give/take, and no cost for anything. Give with a generous spirit, take what you need. All are welcome, please share this event with your friends!

We know that sometimes it feels uncomfortable to take something for free. Here, it's completely ok and encouraged. We mean it. But if you would like to donate cash for your new treasure(s), we'll have a jar -- all proceeds will go locally to The Healing of the Seven Generations. Or you can pay your own donations to them directly!

Drop your clothing and other swappables off to my address by June 25 (Saturday). Contact me by email to coordinate the drop-off; we have a covered porch so porch drops are fine but I need to know that I am expecting donations!

Based on feedback from last year, our community is looking for: plus size clothing and menswear in particular, but all clothing is welcome. Shoes, housewares, art supplies, plants/seedlings, tools and books are also welcome.

Please only donate clean items, but rips/stains/holes are fine! (In fact, if you have any wool items like sweaters, longjohns, socks etc that are holey -- you know me, I'd love to fix them up as visible mending examples!)

We'll take the time to sort and arrange everything so we stay organized. Then come by on June 26th and browse for something new, for free!

The event is outdoors in our small front yard and driveway. There is bike and car parking available on the street or nearby, and we're also close to bus/LRT stops. There are toilets available a few blocks away at the Tim Hortons.

Please contact elysha@worthmending.com with any questions, or to coordinate a drop-off time :) see you there!
