Worth Mending Events
Come hang out and build your crafty repair skills and community.
Worth Mending is based out of Kwartzlab Community Makerspace in Kitchener, so most events we organize will be at The Lab.
Sometimes we're lucky to partner with other community orgs too, so watch for off-site events! Up-to-date details will be posted to the Calendar at the bottom of this page.
Mend Your Clothes drop-in AND Repair Cafe

Be Gay, Do Crafts
Drop-in, beginner-friendly, queer-centred, guided community crafts
→ Last Saturday of the Month (since June 2024)
→ at Kwartzlab, 2-4 pm
→ free!
Join us for a casual afternoon of 2SLGBTQ+ pride-themed crafts and community-building! We will have supplies and seasonal craft ideas prepared that you can drop in and create, or bring your own project to work on in queer company. This is a drop-in event for queer crafters of all experience levels, come and stay as long as you’d like.
Kwartzlab is on the second floor of 145 Bedford Rd and is stair access only. Masks are encouraged, and available free of charge at the door. None of the windows in our building open, which has been a big part of why Kwartzlab has held on to encouraging masked events - we love PPE and making spaces more accessible in ways we are able.
